Google’s service NOTEBOOKLM, which creates voice reviews based on text, will soon support the creation of video reviews.
At the moment, the English-language service has a feature for creating video slides. Also, an already available feature — interactive user participation in audio reviews — is being tested in the beta version (English only).
The Google NotebookLM documentation describes how to interact with audio reviews and offers tips.
To use interactive mode:
1. Create a new audio review.
2. Select Interactive Mode (BETA).
3. While listening, click “Join”.
4. When AI agents speak to you, ask your questions.
AI agents will respond with personalized answers based on your sources. After answering, they will resume the original audio review.
Tips:
Your voice and recorded conversations with AI agents will not be stored or shared with third parties.
To share or download your original audio review, click “Share” or “Download”.
Other users will not be able to interact with your audio review via a shared link.
A slight delay may occur when playback begins after clicking “Join” or after a conversation with AI agents.
You may encounter minor audio glitches, such as unexpected speaker switching, appearance of a third voice, or voice malfunctions.
This feature is available only for newly created audio reviews.
You can rate the discussion by clicking “Like” or “Dislike” and leave feedback.
Set the output language for your audio review. You can create audio reviews in 50+ languages. To choose your preferred output language, go to Settings – Output Language.
NotebookLM uses your Google account’s preferred language as the default output language.
Google NotebookLM is also available in mobile apps.
Considering Google's reports, as well as the fact that NotebookLM is one of the company's fastest-growing services, the video review feature is expected to develop rapidly.
